February retrospective

Hello Shutterbugs,

What has happened this month?
A LOT!!

I have entered into a collaboration with a photographer from Michigan US.
We are busy developing our project.
I am really excited about this one.
It’s going to be amazing!!

Because I’ve had many questions about my work process, am I writing this down for you.
I thought I would do this in 5 minutes, but that was a bit disappointing.
Apparently it’s not that simple to explain my creative process in words.
But my workflow is still coming to you guys.

I also created a persona for my photos.

JOANNA.

You will often encounter her.
She’s not me.
She could never be me.
She is different in so many ways and yet we have many similarities.
She hates the rain, the cold of it.
Getting wet when you’re having a good hair day.
Mirrors are not her friend either.
She is meticulous in everything she does.
Organized and yet chaotic.
You don’t want to argue with her.
Remember…she’s a persona.
She’s not me.
But lucky for me… She wanted to be my model!!!

I also did a cosplay photoshoot as the “Harley Quinn” character.
Afterwards I really had some troubles removing the stick-on tattoos.
Not so funny when there’s one on your face that says “rotten”
In retrospect, it was all worth it. The photos were amazing

So this was February in a nutshell.
